What is it? Kidstuf Karnival (KK) is an event designed to connect families with God and other families through games, food, and fun, topped off by an outdoor Kidstuf performance.  We plan to have activities such as face-painting, inflatables, climbing wall as well as carnival favorites; sno-cones, popcorn, and much more!  Door prizes too!

Why do this? One of the main aspects of our mission is to make new disciples.  That is why events that provide a quality “first touch” are important.  The number one demographic in our community is families. We hope while this event will provide lots of fun to families of Providence, it will also serve to connect unchurched families to Providence. 

Why this instead of Kamp Kidstuf? After successfully doing Kamp Kidstuf for the past six years, we think that it’s time for us to try something new. Since one of our main values is being missional, we believe that instead of trying to bring people to Providence, we should do something to take Providence to people. Kidstuf Karnival is a great way to minister to the families in our community and to get them familiar with Providence.

When does it happen? Saturday night, August 8 from 5:30 to 9:00

Do you need any volunteers?  Yes, plenty.  Please see the list below for detailed descriptions of volunteer positions. This is a great way to serve Christ by connecting with others.  This is also a place to serve with your small group.  We hope to have enough volunteers to have 1 hour shifts so that all can enjoy the evening. 

Who is it for?  The entire family.  If you like good food, good drink, prizes, and lots of fun, this is for you.  Invite your friends.

Where?  Hardin Valley Academy.

Volunteers needed:

Fun Control:  People needed to supervise inflatables, climbing wall, concession stands, and information center.  The main task is to make sure people feel welcome and know where to go.

Procurer:  We plan to give lots of prizes away.  We need a team to solicit local business for prizes and food.

Kidstuf cast:  We will have a full scale outdoor kidstuf performance.

Band:  We would love to have live music being played from 5-8, before the Kidstuf performance. 

Snack Patrol: We need a team to prepare hot dogs and or hamburgers along with serve drinks, sno-cones and other snacks. 

Set up/Clean up:  Set up tables and portable Kidstuf stage.

Artists:  We would like to have caricatures drawings as a booth. Balloon animals would be awesome!  We also need help in set design.

Face/ Hair painting artists:  Kids love to have faces and hair painted. 

Stage design:  We will need to design and construct an out door stage.

Tech team:  Sound, lights, cameras all need operators.
