Announcements

Dear Providence Family,

With significant and consistent growth, we are pushing limits in many of our ministry spaces, including the Worship Center, which is necessitating changes to a few of our ministry areas. We are thankful to have this challenge!

There are numerous planning discussions underway, but we wanted to make you aware of three key changes that will have a rapid impact on our Sunday morning gathering spaces.

  1. Discovery Street (1st-4th) changes are already progressing as the children’s large gathering space has been moved from the Dock down the hall to Discovery Street 3. This room will be gradually transformed into an inviting and functional space suitable for their praise and teaching time. Additional small group spaces will also be created, and there will be changes in the hallway to reflect this move as well.
  2. The Dock will be revamped to allow relocation of our FX (5th-6th) and Midway (7th-8th) ministry hubs. These students currently meet in the Studio right off the Atrium for their praise and teaching, and will continue to do so until further notification. Changes will be made to the hallway entry areas to be reflective of the older students, and new small group spaces will also emerge.
  3. Lastly, the Studio will be transformed into a second praise/worship venue, which will allow an additional 100 seats per service to ease the crowding in the worship center. Live music will still be featured in this smaller venue with the same song sets and familiar faces (with new ones as well!) you are accustomed to seeing. As it would be very difficult to have a live teacher in both venues each week, the preaching (and baptisms) will be streamed into the Studio.

This will be a work in process over the next few months, so please bear with us as you see evidence of renovations. Our ministry teams are working very hard to bring this together in fresh and exciting ways. We hope you are as excited about this as we are!

In the meantime, we would invite you to utilize remote parking and our shuttle to free up more parking spaces. We continue to have challenges, and with more seating will come more people, and we will have an ever-increasing parking need for guests and potential new members who are thinking about or want to make Providence home.

Do you have experience in renovation, construction, repairs, or related trades? We would love your help as we begin this exciting renovation process!

If you feel called to serve in this way, please reach out to Chase Reynolds at chaser@providencechurch.com. When you email, let us know what skills or experience you have, the areas you’re most interested in helping with, and your general availability. This will help us connect you with the right opportunities to serve.

Thank you for being willing to use your gifts to bless our church family!
