Sunday Discussion
Complete Joy - Week 13 - Contentment
Transition: In last week’s text, Paul addressed conflict within the Philippian church. He then urged the Philippians to replace worry with prayer, so that they could experience the peace of God. Lastly, he encouraged them to fill their minds with a variety of virtues to battle against worry.
Check Point: Would anyone like to share something they worked on from last week’s discussion?
Context: In this week’s text Paul mentions that it was Christ’s strength that enabled him to be content in any situation. He then highlights the generosity of the Philippians and reminds them that God will supply their every need.
Opening Questions:
• Describe a time when someone’s generosity made a big impact on your life and how it made you feel.
• What motivates you to be generous with your resources to others in need?
